Reactions: Spring 2010 Just Got Even Better

So word on the street is that Bioshock 2 got delayed to the first half of 2010. A bit of a disappointment, but hopefully the game will be better off for it. At least, that’s what Take-Two CEO Ben Feder thinks. “We felt that it was essential to invest the additional time to ensure that this title will deliver what its fans expect and deserve.”
While I am a bit bummed that I won’t be able to play some more Bioshock this fall, I really see this as a boon for the hardcore gamer. As we all know, Fall is the traditional time for every company in existence to release every game they’ve been developing all at once; and that’s never good for the avid gamer whose amounts of time and money are finite. It’s a nice change of pace to see developers spreading there games out over two seasons (winter and spring) instead of just two months (November and December). Hopefully we’ll even see this trend extend out into the summer as well, then we’ll have games to play all year long. Yay!
