Trailers: Still not clear on what this Halo Waypoint thing is?

That should clear it up. Looks thoroughly uninteresting, useless, and redundant. But I’m sure a bunch of 12 year old Halo fan boys with way too much time on their hands will make it a success.

Speaking of not having enough time on my hands, I’m trying out something new for IB. It’s called, “Post links to news stories that you should read but I’m too lazy to properly report.” I figured the best place would be in this completely unrelated post about the Halo Waypoint.

1.Remember remember the fifth of November
    Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
    Should ever be forgot…

    2. boo to raising of subscription fee. MS, don’t be gay.

    3. MW Matchmaking=I look forward to it. Hopefully it will be good. I’m not a big fan of server joining, unless you have friends…too often teams are stacked.

Everybody who voted “other’ in the poll, would you mind sharing who your favorite explorer is here? I’m really interested.

Umm…as far as I know, Guy Fawkes wasn’t an explorer, although I could be wrong. As for this Amerigo Vespucci guy, don’t have a clue who he is. He sounds like he should be making fancy suits.

The MS thing is just speculation at this point, but I could definitely see them trying. If they did, I think I’d probably cancel my subscription. I just don’t play online enough to justify 100 bucks a year when PSN and other services are free.

The IW server deal, I can see why people are getting upset. Certainly, the majority of gamers probably don’t want to download 2 minutes of modded skins and sound effects before every match, but by taking away the freedom and flexibility of the PC platform, you essentially make it a console. Look at it this way–if modders can’t create any maps or the like for MW2, then Activision has a much easier sell when trying to force the priced DLC model down PC gamers’ throats. I hope it backfires on them big time.

Now that’s what I’m talking about.

Even though I voted for Magellan…

Haha…I know Guy Fawkes is not an explorer. The video said waypoint would come out on the 5th of November, so I put that in. Amerigo Vespucci was an explorer during the time of Columbus, for which our glorious country was named after. Amerigo-America. And, finally, they should keep in servers with the PC-version of MW2, but also maybe add in some matchmaking.

Yeah, I don’t see why they can’t just offer a match-making service for those who want to use it and allow dedicated servers for everybody else. I really think it all comes back to controlling the community so they can make more money off of them. ‘Tis a shame.

It was a mistake. Martin Waldseermueller was a cartographer, and made a globe in 1507, naming the continent after Amerigo Vespucci, believing that he was first to discover it. This false assumption came because of the Soderini letter, which Waldseermueller thought to have been written by Vespucci claiming he was the first to discover it, but was actually a forgery made by others.

Christopher Columbus could complain about the mistake, because unfortunately he died in 1506. What would life be if we were named Columbia, and not Columbia named Columbia. And then what would Columbia be called?
