2009 VGAs: Arkham Asylum 2 announced
Remember three months ago when we thought the onslaught of endless Batman: Arkham Asylum trailers had ended? Not so fast, Jack. The hype machine for the sequel has already begun. The only word I can muster is, “Really?”

I say this as somebody that would put Arkham Asylum as the only game that comes close to Modern Warfare 2 for GOTY, what the hell?
Aside from being a little disappointed they went with the Joker angle again (I mean… I guess that’s okay but… c’mon now) I was really hoping the progression would be more like Batman: >Insert new Location here<, not Batman: Arkham Asylum 2.
I don't know… I mean… I guess … I just … hrm.

I posted something but it didn’t appear. UHH
Synopsis: Sequel in general good, very good. Joker again? and Arkham again? Better idea would be Batman: >new location here<

I think what we’re supposed to get from the trailer and the whole “Arkham has moved” thing is that it’s not actually taking place within Arkham again. I was thinking maybe they would expand the game to a part of (if not all, but that might be pushing it) Gotham. Then it would sort of be like GTA, but, y’know, with Batman.

I sort of got that – like, now they’re all running through the city, right? Or a part of it? I mean… okay. Sort of.
It just seems like we already went there. With the Joker… and the crazy, silly looking henchmen. I loved the first game, so it’s sort of strange I’m disappointed here, but it just seems like they’re being just a tad *too* conservative, even for my tastes. And that’s saying something.
