Reaction: PS3 motion controller delayed

A perfectly normal looking controller.
Originally scheduled for release in Spring 2010, Sony’s as-of-yet unnamed motion controller has been pushed back to a Fall release, just about the same time that Microsoft’s Natal controller will be arriving. Come on, Sony, do you really need another six months to think of a name? I kid, I kid. In fact, the rumored name of “Arc” isn’t so bad…at least no worse than “Natal.”
Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai then put a nice PR spin on it, saying that, “We will continue to work to have a comprehensive portfolio of attractive and innovative games for the Motion Controller, not only from SCE Worldwide Studios but also from the third party developers and publishers, whom we have been working closely with.” I get the feeling this year’s E3 is going to be dominated by gimmicky motion-controlled games. Maybe a PC game will actually be the highlight of the show for once as a result!
