Reactions: Gears of War 3 ends the trilogy on April 5th, 2011
Those guys at Epic certainly do know how to make a good trailer. If you’re interested in the music, this is the dude who made it. If you’re interested in the game, then read on.
Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox 360 exclusive will arrive in North America and Asia on April 5, Japan on April 7, and Europe and all other territories on April 8. And in his interview on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, series creator Cliff Bleszinski offered up a few details on gameplay.
In this game, there are these new enemies called the Lambent, which are these crazy kind of tentacle monsters that can mutate when you fight them…We have all sorts of new weapons, including the double-barreled shotgun, and we finally have female soldiers in the game, which is something that people have been asking for for a long time.
Dude Huge also tweeted confirmation of 4 player co-op for the campaign. I can’t wait to buddy up and make fun of anybody who plays as lumberjack Dom.

And in other cool game news, Ken Levine is apparently working on an original IP, which we should be hearing about sometime this year.
