Reactions: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood recruiting this Holiday

Hey, remember when Ubisoft said the next Assassin’s Creed game would feature multiplayer? Well, today that game has a name and release window–Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Holiday 2010 for the 360, PS3, and PC. Fortunately, Ubisoft has shared some details that make it sound like Brotherhood won’t be a total disaster.
According to GiantBomb, we’ll still play Ezio, but this time around we’ll be searching the nooks and crannies of Rome for allies to the order. Said allies will aid in combating the Templars in a campaign that is said to be “over 15 hours long.” And when you want to spill some blood yourself, new gadgets like parachutes and an “advanced flying machine” will…well, they probably won’t really help with the killing but they’ll still look cool.
As for the multiplayer modes Ubisoft has been hyping, they are said to be class-based, with each class having “their own signature weapons and killing moves.” That’s not a whole lot to go on for now, but it does sound pretty cool. I just hope Brotherhood has more success in bringing stealth-action to the multiplayer arena than pretty much every other game that’s ever tried it. If it epically fails then we’ll just have to wait ’til a proper Assassin’s Creed III to sate our blood-lust.

I’m sure plenty of people will buy it and even if it sucks, the inflated sales based on name recognition alone will help to ruin the true AC3 with multiplayer.
