Trailers: Care for some tea with your Portal 2?
It’s certainly maintaining the witty humor of the first game, but I just hope that Valve has a narrative reason behind throwing in a British robot. I get it, people like British accents. But when seemingly every piece of media consumed by the American public has to follow the same formula of voice casting, well, it gets a little old. I suppose I’m nitpicking, though. I should probably just accept that girls will always find the foreign robots sexier.

So apparently, that awesome Milo thing Lionhead demoed at E3 09 was never intended to be a commercial game. Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg pretty much said in a recent interview that Milo is never coming to market. But promptly after news outlets started reporting this and the internets ignited in rage, Microsoft recanted those statements, saying “Project Milo absolutely continues in development at Lionhead Studios, it is just not a product we plan to bring to market this holiday…The team at Lionhead Studios has always been a center of innovation and will continue to deliver against that charter.”
So something is happening with it, just not this year? Sounds fishy to me. I just hope that MS realizes how great that tech is and does something with it.

At points, the robot sounded kind of like Steve Irwin, and I thought he was going to bust out some “Crikey!”

In more Microsoft news, Fable III is going to follow in the footsteps of Fable II and offer an episodic payment plan in addition to the traditional retail package. I’m glad to see MS experimenting with different pricing structures.
