Reactions: Duke Nukem Forever revived by Gearbox
Maybe it’s the months of rumors that preceded this news, or maybe just the decade of development time that preceded it, but I find myself caring about this a lot less than I would have expected. What exactly is “this,” you ask? Why I’m referring to the 2011 release of Duke Nukem Forever, of course.
After over a decade of perpetual development, the quintessential representative of vaporware has found a new developer who is finishing what 3D Realms started before shutting its doors in late 2009. It’ll be interesting to see what finally comes of this mythic title sometime next year. The gameplay actually looks pretty good. Look for Duke Nukem Forever on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStaton 3 in the not too distant future. Of course, nobody would blame you if you waited on your pre-order,
