Trailers: Infamous 2 gameplay
I just don’t understand the connection between lightning powers and being able to lift cars at all. But putting that aside, I haven’t seen a single preview for this game that’s gotten me the least bit excited. The drab visuals only seem to highlight what appears to be some rather uninspired gameplay. “So we’re going to make a third-person shooter, but instead of shooting guns, we’ll shoot lightning!” Yeah, brilliant. Having never played the first Infamous I can’t really say what made that game click for so many people, but from everything I saw of it, flow and uninterrupted motion seemed to be a major draw. Gliding off a sky-scraper and directly into a electronic grind on a a power line just seems like a lot of fun. Infamous 2 seems to be focusing a lot more on combat from what I can gather. Not really my cup of tea.

I played the first one, and I thought it was an alright game. It was fun to use the different powers and stuff, and I thought the storyline was pretty good.
It was quite repetitive though. You go to one section of the city, go underground, switch the power back on, get a new ability, then start wiping out the bad guy, doing some side quests here and there. Then you go to the next part of the city and do the same thing.
So, this one I’m not overly excited about, though there are parts that do look pretty cool.
