More rumors! This one’s from an Australian trade magazine called SmartHouse, who claim that Sony has some big Playstation announcement planned for tomorrow. Could it be that long-awaited and much needed price drop for the PS3? Probably not, as there have also been rumors spreading that the PS2 is due for a price drop, bringing the legacy console down to $99. How exciting!

Sony is making, what a source calls, a “Big Playstation announcement” tomorrow, and that’s not news? I suppose I could just wait until tomorrow for the actual announcement, but announcements for announcements are much more fun, plus we can speculate wildly about what Sony might be announcing.

I was taking issue with the coverage of PS2 stuff more, since, well, it’s 2009, but announcing announcements is bad as well…especially when said announcement will commence in one day. Show some restraint ye vile beast!
