Feature: Metamorphosis of a gamer
That fresh feeling...
Whether we like it or not, change is a part of life. We go through stages, phases, trends, and bends until we can’t recognize who we were when we started. And at the tender age of 20, I think I might be going through yet another transformation as a gamer. So this feature will be an examination of myself as a gamer. I’m not sure what I’ll find, but I think it’s something worth thinking about.

Not sure if you want to buy insane action-game Just Cause 2 when it comes out March 23rd? Take the demo for a spin next Thursday. The developers saw fit to open up a sizable portion of the game-world and throw us in there to do what we want, all for free. I know I’ll be trying it out.

I swear this video tells us absolutely nothing new. It doesn’t show anything new. It’s just some guy talking about things we already know. But still, they tell me this is a highly-anticipated game, so I guess somebody out there will be happy to see this recap of the game’s co-op modes.

Reactions: Alpha Protocol goes into effect June 1st
Yup, Obsidian’s first ever original IP will make it’s oft-delayed debut this June, extending the streak of good gaming months in 2010 to six. I know I’ll certainly appreciate a unique new action-RPG that puts me in the role of an international spy during the traditionally lean months of summer. Now I’m just curious if July, August, and December can fill out to make it an entire year of AAA releases. That would probably be a first.

So, yeah…definitely looks like a Mario game…a Mario game that you can play starting May 23rd. And if plumbers aren’t your cup of tea, then maybe Metroid: Other M (really bad title) can wet your whistle come June 27th. It is nice to see Nintendo springing these releases on us so soon, but still…I just can’t seem to get excited.
