It’s the one year anniversary of InsaneBear, so have a listen to this podcast to kick off the celebration!
Author: RyanHappy birthday to InsaneBear!

RAWR!
Greetings, my loyal minions. This is Jacob, the perfectly sane bear that Cody so often mentions. I’m relaying this very rare direct message to all of you because today is my 1st birthday and I want presents. It is not superficial material presents that I demand, though. I simply wish for all of my followers to continue integrating themselves in the InsaneBear community through the thoughtful discussions that my spokesman tries to spur. We need to sharpen our minds for the glorious day when we’ve finally gained enough strength to crusade on the video game industry and change it forever. Only then will I be able to feast on Robert Kotick’s brain. But until then, I need my fearsome army to continue the work at hand. There may be a community project in the near future that I command the bravest of you to meet. But for today, let us rejoice in our triumph and revere the mighty glory of the InsaneBears.
Author: CodyReactions: A storm of DLC is brewing for Heavy Rain

For those of you who’ve already beaten Quantic Dream’s acclaimed Heavy Rain, $5 will net you the game’s first DLC pack come April 1st. The add-on is called “The Taxidermist” and it focuses on one of reporter Madison Paige’s early leads on the Origami Killer. Having not played the game, I can’t really speak with any credibility, but I’d assume that dealing with the after-effects of Madison’s experience in the game might be more interesting. But hey, what are ya gonna do?
Author: CodyReactions: Kane & Lynch 2 coming out August 24th
I suppose that could interest somebody. What interests me is the news that Jamie Foxx has signed on to play Lynch alongside Bruce Willis as Kane in the Kane & Lynch movie.
The resemblance is uncanny.
Reactions: Xbox 360 slimming down?

There are a bunch of mundane and technical details to this story, but I won’t bother you with them. Pretty much, some pictures of an allegedly redesigned Xbox 360 motherboard were posted on a Chinese message board (hey, the Chinese were the first ones to leak images of the PS3 Slim, so there’s some credibility there). The new motherboard is smaller and more efficient for a number of reasons, but mostly because the CPU and GPU have been combined into one chip. The most interesting thing to me is that the new motherboard lacks the 360′s specialized hard-drive port, but includes an extra SATA interface port. This has led some to believe that Microsoft will be making the system’s hard-drive internal, like the Original Xbox’s. I certainly hope that doesn’t turn out to be true, as I love the ability to snap my HDD off and take it to a friend’s house. But considering “Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation,” I guess we’ll just have to wait on this one to find out.
Author: CodyTrailers: Wipe out the buffalo in Red Dead Redemption
At least that’s what I’m getting out of this.
Author: CodyReactions: Gears of War to turn again in April, 2011?

Rumor has it that we might be seeing the conclusion to the Gears of War trilogy (which has never officially been confirmed as a trilogy) in that month before the one with the flowers next year. Edge cites “a trusted US publishing source” and also claims that there will be a big reveal trailer sometime next month, with details to follow at E3.
Author: CodyOur Adventures: Lost – “Recon”

You know how despite it’s rarity, the Recon armor in Halo 3 is just a superficial skin that adds nothing of substance to the game? Well, that’s how I feel about this latest episode of Lost. I mean, it’s not like it was necessarily bad, it was just utterly pointless filler.
Author: CodyRandom: Even lightspeed abilities couldn’t save the Dreamcast

I guess somebody should have told Sega the odds.
