Reactions: Dead Rising 2 delayed to September 28th

Apparently the zombies need more time to decompose. Otherwise, their flesh might not be tender enough to chainsaw off. At least that’s the reason I’m going with for the delay.
Author: CodyTrailers: Care for some tea with your Portal 2?
It’s certainly maintaining the witty humor of the first game, but I just hope that Valve has a narrative reason behind throwing in a British robot. I get it, people like British accents. But when seemingly every piece of media consumed by the American public has to follow the same formula of voice casting, well, it gets a little old. I suppose I’m nitpicking, though. I should probably just accept that girls will always find the foreign robots sexier.
Author: CodyRandom: A dude made this…by himself

That is without a doubt the sickest looking Elite I’ve ever seen. This Pete Mander fellow has some serious artistic skills. You can watch the video on how he crafted the full-sized and full wearable suit, but the atrocious music makes that sort of hard to do.
Author: CodyTrailers: Listen to Tier 1 consultants talk about how alpha they are
Gotta hand it to EA, trying to sell a game whilst showing as little actual gameplay as possible. Hell, they’re not even showing cinematics! They better hope that people are real enamored with these Tier 1 operators, a group I had never even heard of before their involvement with Medal of Honor.
Author: CodyFeature: 20 songs that should be used in a game trailer

‘Tis the time of season for game trailers and teasers, and as the past has shown us, a little bit of music can really set the mood. The guys at Epic (Gears of War franchise) are the masters of this art, but other companies are beginning to catch on. Still, this sort of thing invites cliches and cheesiness, so I’ve made this list to help publishers market their games. With that in mind, I’ve tried to put myself in the shoes of the marketing team for a major publisher and have decided to stick to generally well-known songs and have avoided excessive profanity, with a few exceptions. I’ve also avoided instrumental pieces, as that would just make for too easy of a list. So I hope you enjoy my take on this under-discussed topic and have your own songs to add. My list is by no means definitive, and even I feel as though it is unbalanced and doesn’t equally represent enough fields of music, but it is what it is. Now read listen!
Reactions: Microsoft indirectly confirms Kinect’s $150 price point

As you might know, in the days after E3 various retailers began to list Microsoft’s Kinect motion device at a price of $150–a hefty cost for a piece of hardware that doesn’t have a very appealing lineup of games and supposedly doesn’t work if the player is sitting down. Microsoft repeatedly stated that the retailers were just speculating with placeholder prices and that Kinect’s pricing hadn’t been officially announced. Well, it still hasn’t been, but Microsoft’s own store is now offering pre-orders at the $150 price point. Granted, the site clearly says that the official price hasn’t been announced and that it’s subject to change, plus all pre-orders are protected by price guarantee in the event of a price change, but it’s still telling on Microsoft’s part. For the sake of my waning interest in Kinect, let us hope that the price does change.
Author: CodyTrailers: This JRPG for the DS and PS3 looks gorgeous
From developer Level 5 (the Professor Layton series) comes Ni no Kuni, a game that I know almost nothing about other than what I can derive from this fantastic looking trailer. I’ll keep everyone updated on this title as information becomes available.
Author: CodyTrailers: Greg Kasavin says good things about Spec Ops: The Line
I’m still far from sold on this title, but it’s nice to know that the developers are at least attempting to scribe an engaging moral story. But I need to see more gameplay first. The whole dynamic sand thing they have going on sounds like it could be cool, but all the videos I’ve seen pretty much amount to, “Oh, well, there’s sand covering this glass ceiling. The bad guys don’t know they’re walking on it. If you shoot the glass they’ll fall.” So I’m hesitantly optimistic.
Author: CodyTrailers: Take a look at RDR’s new co-op DLC
Well, the mission’s don’t really look like anything that you couldn’t find in the single-player experience, but at least it’s free and out now. Go gather up some amigos and have a rootin’ tootin’ time!
