Trailers: Watch four alright looking games
Yes, it looks fantastic for what it’s trying to do, but what it’s trying to do has been done for the past four years. I honestly don’t understand the hype for Battlefield 3 (well, besides the massive marketing budget).
Author: CodyRandom: You wouldn’t believe who’s in the new Brad Pitt movie
I’ll give you a hint: the movie’s called Moneyball. This well-known gaming personality is notorious for how much he loves money. The trailer starts at 0:48.
Author: CodyTrailers: Modern Warfare 3 debut trailer
Pretty much what you’d expect–nothing more, nothing less. If you aren’t burnt out on the series’ standard gameplay by now and you still care what happens to the characters, then I’m sure Modern Warfare 3 will offer some of the most exciting set pieces in the business along the way. If you’re looking for something a little more fresh, then you might want to buy $60 worth of fruit while you wait for the FPS to pursue some new avenues. You might want to spread that $60 out over a few years, though.
Author: CodyReactions: George Romero has possessed Black Ops’ “Escalation” pack
What’s that? It’s ghosts that possess things, not zombies? Why don’t you drop all the criticism and try writing witty headlines yourself, chief? Ha-aaaa…aa (I’m still working on the evil laugh)! Not so easy when you have to get up off the couch and pause all the senseless zombie-killing for a minute, is it? That’s what I thought, punk.
Author: CodyTrailers: Black Ops’ Escalation map-pack
Man, after watching that Battlefield 3 gameplay in the previous post, this engine seems to be fossilizing before our very eyes. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy $15 worth of escalating action.
Author: CodyFeature: Could RPGs be the new FPS?

With Activision recently putting the kibosh on the Guitar Hero franchise, and really, the Rhythm genre as a whole, I got to wondering if this console generation will see the collapse of any more genres. With escalating development costs, publishers are more eager than ever to turn their properties into annual tent-pole releases in the pursuit of short-term profits. The Rhythm genre, which many argued to be a fad in the first place, saw this gross mismanagement go to an extreme with literally dozens of games released within a five year period. And despite all of the lost jobs, lost investments, and lost opportunities, Activision doesn’t seem to have learned their lesson.
Author: CodyTrailers: First look at Spider-Man: Edge of Time
To be perfectly honest, the four Spider-men concept behind last year’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions seems a lot cooler than the two Spider-men concept working in Spider-Man: Edge of Time. If anything, this seems like a dumbed down rehash. I suppose that’s what happens when you’ve got Activision pumping these things out on an annual basis.
Author: CodyRandom: Why isn’t Activision actually doing this?

It’s genius! Why limit cover votes to boring old Madden? Let’s spice Call of Duty up with a little Bonkers Captain Price. Either him, or this write-in submission.

Trailers: Prototype 2 prototypes new method of flight
They’re still working out the landing mechanism, but the in-flight view can’t be beat. Let’s hope everything works out by time Radical Entertainment’s sequel releases in 2012.
Author: CodyReactions: Bungie making an FPS-MMO called “Destiny”?

Kotaku used this as their story's image, but there's no indication that this is a screen of Destiny. Then again, there's no indication that it's not...I'm at a loss!
If an anonymous source speaking to Kotaku Australia is to be believed, then Bungie’s new, Activision-published IP is a sci-fi FPS-MMO code-named “Tiger,” officially named Destiny (terrible name). Those details fall in line with previous rumors about the game, so it’s nothing too far-fetched. But I have to question the legitimacy of the source considering the very specific claims he makes about being one of nearly 30 part-time employees terminated by Bungie, and Bungie’s outright denial of the firings. Go ahead and check out the link above for the extensive claims offered by the source and Bungie’s official rebuttal.
