Trailers: Alan Wake gameplay

Not really the most exciting gameplay I’ve ever seen in a trailer. And considering previous trailers for this game have demoed some especially exciting looking gameplay, I have to wonder why they decided to make a trailer out of this? Still, news on this game isn’t exactly plentiful, so I’ll take what I can get. Plus, I laughed when that jerk left his buddy sitting in the dark and then proceeded to shoot a flare in the direction of a highly flammable pine forest. Good going, Alan.

Reactions: New Alan Wake Details Surface

Look at that chizzled jaw

Look at that chizzled jaw

As happens once in a blue moon, new information on the long in development Remedy game, Alan Wake, has been revealed. As might be expected, the developers announced that Alan Wake will have much less action than games like Max Payne (which Remedy also developed). Another interesting tidbit of information is how weather will greatly effect the way in which the game is played. The example given explains how a heavy rainstorm may make driving a car more difficult. The use of lighting in the game was also likened to the introduction of bullet time in the Max Payne games.
