Reactions: Kingdoms of Amalur pitches against ME3 in World Series

Alright, so maybe that is the worst headline you’ve ever read, and maybe it doesn’t make a lick of sense to you because you didn’t know that .38 Studios, the developer behind the game, is owned by former MLB pitcher Curt Schilling. And furthermore, maybe you didn’t look two posts below this one to see that Mass Effect 3 has been delayed to Q1 2012. Well, more accurately, the former baseball great’s 38 Studios (hey, that’s where former GameSpot employee Rich Gallup works!) will be bringing us a cool RPG. Actually, Big Huge Games, which was on the verge of closing down before 38 Studios bought them last year, will be developing the game. The title will be published through the EA Partners program. And just to be clear, this is not 38 Studio’s codename “Copernicus” MMO, but a separate single-player RPG, developed by Big Huge Games, published by EA, and, uh…it has something to do with Curt Schilling because he owns the thing.
