Reactions: The Old Republic getting various updates, including guild banks
Sounds like BioWare is focused on an ever-improving experience. I’m sure the game’s many, many fans will appreciate it.

When is BioWare going to get on the musical trailer bandwagon and make an epic seven-minute Jedi massacre set to “Civil War”? What’s that you say? The Sith-Republic conflict isn’t a civil war? Well, I say that we’re all citizens of the galaxy, man. But where ever you stand on that subject, you’ll have the pleasure of finally mixing it up with your fellow citizens starting December 20th. Each copy of The Old Republic comes with a free 30-day subscription, and after that your subscription options are $15 per single month, $42 for three months, or $78 for six months. No word yet on five-year plans.

At least for the Smuggler class. And it seems to be rather effective.
Author: CodyTrailers: 13 minutes of group questing in The Old Republic
I remember when they originally started talking about group conversation dynamics and how players would be able to interrupt each other and such; now BioWare has settled for the riveting system of randomly picking one player to speak for the entire party, even if everybody has different responses. Nothing like being forced to follow some other guy over the roll of a virtual die. And that combat doesn’t look very interesting either. Could it be that Star Wars: The Old Republic has finally over-exposed itself and the glory of a new KotOR is giving way to the reality of a streamlined, unoriginal MMO riding on the coat-tails of the Star Wars name?
Author: CodyTrailers: Get a peek at TOR’s PVP
It looks pretty cool, but I just don’t see it living up to real life convention show PVP. On that note, BioWare should totally turn Star Wars kid into a secret boss.
Author: CodyTrailers: Allow this Old Republic interview to inform you of its win
The graphics are looking more polished, the art direction of the cities is great, the space battles look totally fun, and they’re going to let our characters say things WITHOUT attaching a stupid morality meter to dialogue? Sweet Sith-lovin’ mama!
Author: CodyTrailers: Get a look at The Old Republic’s “Flashpoints”
For all of you who won’t be pretending that The Old Republic is simply charging a subscription fee for how awesome its solo missions are, BioWare is implementing “flashpoints,” which are essentially zones that offer group-quests. As you might expect, these quests will be more difficult and require team-work. Dynamic group decision-making will also affect the experience for everyone involved. The Jedi rescue mission shown above is just one example of the many excellent adventures in front of you and your friends. Just be careful about trusting group members who frequently express great admiration of Lando Calrissian.
Author: CodyReactions: The Old Republic falling this September?

After months of unconfirmed speculation (from EA’s John Riccitiello, no less) that BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic would be releasing in spring 2011, MCV is now reporting that “development sources” have informed them of a world-wide September release. However, the article offers no tangible evidence of this delay and as many commenters have pointed out, the facts surrounding the game that it does provide are inaccurate or misinformed. I don’t know how much credence I’d put into this story, but it’s not like a delay on such an ambitious title (BioWare is saying it’s bigger than every one of their previous games combined) would be out of the ordinary.

You know, it actually does look pretty cinematic and fun. I’m sure some people will be upset that it appears to be on-rails, but BioWare made a decision and seems to have executed that design choice well.
