Feature: Pitching Slayer

Concept Art - That's about right.
Introduction: Slayer takes all the action, drama, and comedy of Joss Whedon’s beloved Buffy the Vampire Slayer and puts it into a choice-driven Action-RPG set ten years after the destruction of Sunnydale. You play as one of the many potential Slayers who was awoken in the events of the series finale, and with none other than Giles as your personal Watcher, you must assemble your very own Scooby Gang to combat Buffy herself. An unidentified big bad has sired the most powerful Slayer the world has ever known and together they’re working to undo all the good that’s been done. You’ll encounter Angel, Spike, Willow and the rest along the way, but ultimately, only you can stop the vampire slayer turned vampire.

If you know anything about anything, then you know that Joss Whedon’s definitive work, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is cooler than sliced banana bread. You might also know that Jones Pure Cane Soda is a refreshing and delicious beverage. In an effort to promote the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 Motion Comic, the two vessels of awesomeness are teaming up and brewing six tasty love-children. This is a good day for nerds.

"Maybe we should try this episodic thing out after Episode 3!"
Over the past two months, I’ve been working my way through the seven full seasons of Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That’s 145 episodes total. A little over 100 hours of time spent loving and hating the characters who’d entered my dreams (that dream part might just be because of the extreme amount of Buffy I took in in a very short period of time). My point here is that a person can’t help but become attached to characters after spending that much time with them. And when it was finally over, I felt sad. I was certainly happy to have seen the show in its entirety, but at the same time I felt like a part of my life had gone away. I imagine I’ll feel much the same way when Lost ends next year. But I’ve never felt like that after completing a video game.

Firstly, I apologize for the awful quality, but it’s all I could find. If you like what you hear, you can always buy season six of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or the whole series or maybe even find the specific episode, “Once More With Feeling” online somewhere. I’m sure our more resourceful users can manage some way of seeing the roughly 45 minute musical in its entirety.
