Feature: Pitching K.I.A.

Concept Art - Muted realsim that progressively gives way to colorful stylization as the action gets hotter.
Introduction: K.I.A. is a Tactical Modern Military First-Person Shooter that seeks to explore the human cost of war through a morally ambiguous narrative and gameplay mechanics that reflect your character’s emotional state in varying degrees of exaggeration. Stepping into the boots of Private Jose Hernandez, you’ll undertake an odyssey of war that spares no women, children, or refugees. Along the way you’ll bond ever closer with your squad-mates over conversations of home, risky favors, and nerve-rattling combat. The eleven soldiers who fight by your side hail from varying backgrounds, but every one of them will come to be considered family to Pvt. Hernandez over the course of a harrowing global conflict. But can the men of Charlie squad save you from yourself?

He's crying on the inside.
Score: Meh
Difficulty played on: Veteran (2nd hardest of 4 settings)
Time to beat: 11 hours
Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC
Loved the most: Fine balance between feeling like a super-soldier and feeling vulnerable.
Hated the most: Every facet of the game lacks character.
Back in 2007, a studio that made its name on the open-ended freedom of Far Cry took that formula and applied it to Crysis, a game that many gamers still use as the benchmark for high-end graphics. Fast-forward to 2011 and Crytek has traded the tropical islands of their previous games for the concrete jungle of New York City in Crysis 2. But if the range of gameplay in this game reflects all there is to do in the Big Apple, then I’ve been severely misinformed about the city’s offerings. Quite simply, the urban setting has turned this once proud series into nothing more than a solid Shooter with a stealth option.

If for some reason you cannot obtain a copy of Rockstar’s L.A. Noire come May 17th, you could always retaliate against your fellow gamers in Crysis 2‘s virtual battlefield. $10 will get you four new maps and your own personal murder mystery, where you’re the killer. That’s fun, right?
Author: CodyTrailers: Crysis 2 “Semper Fi” gameplay
Evidently, the protagonist of Crysis 2 is a Marine. But we shouldn’t get too carried away with his accomplishments; the Corps’ standards really went down when they adopted that cloaking tech. Coincidentally, other countries’ peeping Tom rates sky-rocketed.
Author: CodyTrailers: 4 minutes of Crysis 2 gameplay
I’m actually starting to wonder how they’ll make this game challenging with that snazzy suit you’ve got going on. Is Naomi Hunter going to show up and jab us with a needle full of nano-machines that that don’t get along with the suit’s nano-machines? Only time will tell. Until then, enjoy a trailer detailing the story that gives us an excuse for all those pretty visuals!
Author: CodyTrailers: What sets Crysis 2′s multiplayer apart
I do believe that the astonishing awesomeness of those unlockable abilities blew the narrator off his feet so fiercely that he hit his head and lost the ability to determine appropriate tones for his commentary. Or in the unfortunate event that he actually thinks he’s not making a fool of himself, somebody could always just strap on a nano-suit and KICK A CAR INTO HIS FACE!
Author: CodyTrailers: Crysis 2 “Be Strong” trailer
Yeah, I’d say it’s probably easier to be strong with the aid of a super-soldier suit. I could really use one of those things around the house. You know what else I could use around the house? Crysis 2, because it looks AWESOME!
Author: CodyReactions: TimeSplitters 4 on the way?

Well, maybe if Crysis 2 sells well. Speaking with CVG, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said, “”Yeah, we have been discussing it [TimeSplitters 4], but nothing has been confirmed yet, so let’s see after Crysis 2.”
Author: CodyReactions: Crysis 2 multiplayer demo out Jan. 25th
Okay, so now that we’ve all viewed that trailer and we’re on the same page, I think we can agree that Crysis 2‘s gun-play looks about as awesome as a fight between a monster truck and a tyrannosaurus rex. So if you’re an Xbox 360 gamer who would like to experience that hotness before the game’s release, Crytek is putting out a demo on January 25th that includes “the Skyline map and two game modes: Team Instant Action and Crash Site. The first is essentially team death match, the second has you fighting for control of alien drop pods.” Enjoy.
Author: CodyTrailers: Crysis 2′s Nanosuit detailed with impressive video
Crysis 2 is be no means a highly original game, but despite how common it may seem, I get the feeling that the action is going to be divinely intense. Plus it looks really pretty.
