fallout: new vegas

Random: Tim Schafer, cookies, and brains

Notice how the brains connect these two wacky videos. Funny voices are also a common theme. I’ve decided that there’s so much in common that Mr. Schafer should probably direct the next New Vegas DLC and center it around Sesame Street.

Reactions: Kill some of your money with New Vegas’ “Dead Money” DLC

December 21st. Exclusive to the 360. 800 Microsoft Points ($10). It “has players working alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. The download add-on includes new terrain, foes and choices.” You can assume it’s as buggy and broken as Fallout: New Vegas itself. Great name, though.

Reactions: 1st New Vegas DLC 360 exclusive

And that’s about all they’re saying right now. Hopefully there’s as much quality DLC as Fallout 3 had. And hopefully it’s less broken.

I don’t know what to make of that. Maybe Fallout 3‘s bleak landscape just scarred me too much. Now I’m wondering if playing/watching/reading depressing things is good or bad for depression…well, one thing I do know is that neon lights are always attractive! Oh, and this game better have a post-nuclear winter version of Liar’s Dice in it.

E3 2010: Destroy super mutants in Fallout: New Vegas, October 19th

To be honest, I haven’t really been all that excited for New Vegas thus far, but that video makes the game look pretty fun. I mean, I liked Fallout 3, it’s just that the bleak wastelands wore on me after 40 hours. So maybe the bright lights and jazzy tunes of Vegas will rectify that.
