In a rather strange (and somewhat unbelievable) move, Global Gaming Factory X has acquired “the world’s largest BitTorrent tracker”, The Pirate Bay. Global Gaming Factory X is the self-admitted “biggest network of internet cafés and gaming centers in the world,” so, yeah… It makes perfect sense that they would want to buy one of the most notorious file sharing sites on the internet [/sarcasm]. And, even stranger still, they want to “introduce models which entail that content providers and copyright owners get paid for content that is downloaded via the site.” Pay content providers? Ridiculous!
