Reactions: Rumor round-up

Word around the camp fire is that there might be a Wii remake of the N64 classic GoldenEye on the way. The rumor has its roots in the resume of an animator by the name of Craig Peck which lists work on a “GoldenEye 2010 (Wii)”. The good Mr. Peck apparently did the work for Eurocom, the studio responsible for the PS2 port of 2008′s Quantum of Solace.

I haven’t really followed this game at all until now because I always confused it with Prototype before. You know, because of the P words. But now that Prototype has passed us by in all its generic open world glory, I can finally focus on this much cooler looking game from Obsidian. I’m not entirely sure how much I want RPG stats to be affecting my tactical espionage action, but I am interested in a secret agent story-line given as much attention as RPG stories get. Plus this game puts a timer on your conversation responses, so dialogue could actually feel somewhat natural. And I hear it’s forgoing the in vogue moral meters of late for the considerably less judgmental James Bond vs. Jack Bauer personality meters. So far, so good.
