Reactions: ME3 to be “Better With Kinect”?

According to this official box art, which EA has since pulled from the EA Store, it will be.
Author: CodyFeature: Gaming in 2011

It might not be the sexiest (or most original) feature you’ve read lately, but I think 2011′s line-up of games is so damn nice that it’s worth looking at twice. Also this gives me an opportunity to share some of the ways that 2011 will be affecting me personally as a gamer. Namely, I’ve decided that after spending nearly $600 on video games last year only to realize that most of them weren’t even that good, it’s time to try out GameFly. I figure the $15 a month will let me play more games at a lower cost. If I come across a game that I’m particularly infatuated with, I can pony up for it then. Heck, I could buy six full-priced games in addition to the GameFly subscription and still come out ahead of last year’s expenses. In fact, that’s sort of what this list is all about; trying decipher which six games look good enough to buy as of right now.
Author: CodyRandom: Help us, Kinect hackers, you’re our only hope!
Ever since hackers cracked Microsoft’s Kinect technology open and started mucking around with things we’ve had no shortage of nifty stuff. But this, sweet Jesus, this is like mind bogglingly awesome. As explained in the video, this dude has made a primitive hologram using the technology behind Kinect. Maybe Apple will start working on flying cars next year.

Not an actual screen of Project Milo.
It isn’t the first time rumors of cancellation have swirled for the unorthodox game/tech demo, but this one certainly has more convincing details than previous speculations. Eurogamer is reporting that, “Development on Lionhead’s motion-sensing relationship simulation was officially halted yesterday, with ’19 contractors’ let go, according to a source claiming to be close to the situation.”

Yeah, whatever, I don’t really feel like writing all this crap out and nobody’s going to read it anyways, so have some links.
Author: CodyReactions: Microsoft indirectly confirms Kinect’s $150 price point

As you might know, in the days after E3 various retailers began to list Microsoft’s Kinect motion device at a price of $150–a hefty cost for a piece of hardware that doesn’t have a very appealing lineup of games and supposedly doesn’t work if the player is sitting down. Microsoft repeatedly stated that the retailers were just speculating with placeholder prices and that Kinect’s pricing hadn’t been officially announced. Well, it still hasn’t been, but Microsoft’s own store is now offering pre-orders at the $150 price point. Granted, the site clearly says that the official price hasn’t been announced and that it’s subject to change, plus all pre-orders are protected by price guarantee in the event of a price change, but it’s still telling on Microsoft’s part. For the sake of my waning interest in Kinect, let us hope that the price does change.
