Random: Happpy Halloween from the bottom of InsaneBear’s candy bag!

Limbo pumpkin!
I love Halloween, don’t you? And besides the obvious reasons (and reasons that are better left unsaid), great jack-o’-lanterns are one of the holiday’s many things to appreciate. Jump past the break for dozens, I repeat, dozens of video game themed carve-jobs. Surprisingly, no Costume Quest representatives…

Concept Art - A 2D suburban environment that goes through stages of black and white, color, and 3D.
Introduction: A Metroidvania game for the art-house indie generation, The Reddest Rose re-imagines Mario’s “princess in distress” formula for all of those gamers who grew up and found out the crushing reality of relationships. This time around, the castle between you and the princess isn’t a prison, but a fortress of heart-crushing distance and a constant reminder of how she shattered your world. Quite literally, in fact: the all-too-brief introduction of vibrant colors, sweet symphonies, and 3D wonder plummets into the depths of a Side-Scrolling Puzzle-Platformer characterized by bleak silence the moment she leaves you for the jerk with the castle. Your goal is to confront the ensuing depression with relics of your past and restore life to the world.

JoyStiq‘s reporting that in honor of the many fatal accidents bound to take place tonight, Microsoft has discounted gruesome Puzzle-Platformer Limbo from $15 to $10. Maybe that extra five bucks will help out with the hospital bill!

One of the more interesting titles on the docket for this summer is Limbo, the dark and dreary platformer in the video above. And yeah, I know the video is ridiculously long–just skip through random parts of it so you can get a sense of the great art style, gruesome death animations, and clever puzzling. But anyways, here’s the list, courtesy of Kotaku.
