Feature: Where were our favorite video game characters in high school?
With all of the world saving and other heroic deeds they’re known for now, it’s easy to forget that our favorite game characters were once regular old kids who went through the same traumatic high school experiences as the rest of us. Okay, so maybe that completely negates the canon of most of these franchises, but it’s still fun to think where Sub-zero fell in the social circle of that bizarre microcosm of life we call high school. So sit back, relax, and contemplate how horrible a person you are for all the bullying you surely would have inflicted upon the future heroes of pretty much any JRPG.

What the hell? Why would anybody think this is a good idea. Instead of Nathan Fillion, David Boreanaz, Nolan North, or Colin Farrell, we get Marky Mark? Seriously? Putting aside the fact that he looks nothing like Nathan Drake, this guy simply isn’t cut out for lead roles. He can be good in supporting roles, but he just doesn’t have the charisma to carry a movie. He lacks the witty charm of a golden-hearted scoundrel. You know who doesn’t lack that? NATHAN DRAKE!

Oh, I totally got you guys there. Your hopes soared to the sky and you felt like maybe this isn’t such a bad world after all. I suppose this cruel trick just serves to underscore how hard the real world is. And when I say the real world, I mean the world of Hollywood. The actor we’re more likely to be seeing on screen, as reported by Kotaku, is one Hugh Jackman. The news comes straight from Nolan North’s (the voice actor for Drake) supremely talented mouth.

Duke Nukem – Bruce Campbell might have the perfect personality to play the Duke, and Ron Pearlman has got a nearly identical mug shot, but nobody brings the entire package together quite like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Dye his hair blonde and the Governator is the spitting image of Mr. Nukem. Plus he likes to blow stuff up and smoke cigars.

The attention to detail in this game is just phenomenal. The animations really give it another level of believability. Kind of wish I had a PS3 for Nathan Drake’s latest adventure.

Coming to a theater near you.
So GameSpot has broken the news that Uncharted is following in the footsteps of recent games like BioShock and Prince of Persia and getting the feature film treatment. Given that Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is what Indiana Jones 4 should have been, this could actually be good news.
