Trailers: Attack of the Space Krakens in Kid Icarus: Uprising
If that doesn’t look like a rootin’ tootin’ good time for your 3DS then I don’t know what does. Calamari!

Nearly a year to the day after the Nintendo 3DS’ launch, the one title that’s consistently looked like a system seller will be flapping its little wings out of the factory and onto store shelves. I think we can all agree that it looks like a lot of fun, and that maybe it will make the 3DS relevant if there’s anybody still willing to give the system a chance at this point. Let’s hope Nintendo takes this lesson to heart for the Wii U’s 2012 release, which, as of right now, has zero exclusive launch titles announced.

So I might have missed the conference because of the job that pays me to be there, but I’ve done my best to round up all of the video content I can in an effort to give you the best idea of what was talked about. The main thing, obviously, was Nintendo’s successor to the Wii, officially dubbed the Wii U (weird name, but I suppose Wii caught on pretty well). There were also a lot of 3DS games shown. Keep checking this post through the night, as I will continue to update it with new videos as they become available.

Of all the Nintendo franchises hopping into the third dimension with the company’s latest hand-held, you might have noticed one that’s missing. But have no fear! Toward the end of an interview with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, Shigeru Miyamoto reveals that the pudgy plumber from the depths of his imagination will be appearing on the 3DS in an all new game.

I think he might be saying, “And here you’ll see our terrible flight animations” and explaining in great detail why they look so unrealistic.
Trailers: Chris Redfield is a Helghast in the third dimension
What I mean by that is, “Check out this off-screen footage of Resident Evil: Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS.” I actually doubt that the character in this video is Chris Redfield (I just don’t see enough bulge in the biceps), but the setting does appear to be the same, or at least similar to that of Resident Evil 5. What’s really important is how amazingly pretty this game looks on a hand-held system.
Author: CodyReactions: Nintendo 3DS priced and dated
You might have heard by now, but a little thing called the 3DS will be hitting Japanese store shelves on February 26, 2011 for ¥25,000 ($299). The U.S. and European launches will follow a month later in March, but no pricing has been confirmed as of yet.
Author: CodyReactions: Nintendo jumps on the bandwagon with the 3DS

*Sigh.* I suppose it’s naive to think that technology will ever slow down enough for actual game-design and story to take prominence. Ever since Avatar, one of the most overrated movies of all time, made as much money as sliced bread and hot cakes combined, 3D has been all the rage. Evidently, Nintendo isn’t content to sit back and watch the movie industry soak up all those profits.
