Yup, you read that headline right. Obsidian, developer of many fine fantasy and sci-fi RPGs, is developing a new RPG based on South Park.

You can grab the “Honest Hearts” expansion pack for $10 at the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store, Steam, or Direct2Drive. You can figure out what the hell the name of the content has to do with mummy man by playing it.

And that’s about all they’re saying right now. Hopefully there’s as much quality DLC as Fallout 3 had. And hopefully it’s less broken.

It looks so much prettier than Fallout 3. I think they’ve finally convinced me that I need to buy this at some point. Hopefully there’s a price drop within the first few months. Don’t judge me! I have a thing for neon lights…

To be honest, I haven’t really been all that excited for New Vegas thus far, but that video makes the game look pretty fun. I mean, I liked Fallout 3, it’s just that the bleak wastelands wore on me after 40 hours. So maybe the bright lights and jazzy tunes of Vegas will rectify that.

I totally stole that headline from GiantBomb, but it was too good to pass up. As for the actual game, could I please see some extended gameplay and more than three characters?

Apparently, it’s in the part with sub-par graphics and inappropriately dressed Russian women. I’m still hoping Obsidian can weave together an intriguing story in this suspenseful world of espionage, and maybe they will, but my excitement for Alpha Protocol has only dwindled over the past couple months. Maybe if they listed outer-space as one of the locales in the game I’d be back on the wagon, but much to my dismay, it appears as if we’ll be staying in this atmosphere.

I know what Ryan’s going to say, but I think I’ve developed a sickness where I buy games even when I’m not entirely sure about their quality or value anymore, so it’s no use. Maybe I should wait for the reviews on this one and finally try a Final Fantasy game instead if it doesn’t score well.
