Trailers: Vanquish has a story

I’m still so torn on this game. The action looks like it could be sick, but it also looks like it could be repetitive. And as far as the story and visual style go? Very disappointing for something coming out of Japan.

Trailers: Vanquishing a boss

A lot of people seem to be getting excited for PlatinumGames’ Japanese take on Gears of War, Vanquish. There does seem to be a lot of action on screen, and the slow-mo stuff looks cool, but I’m still having trouble caring about this title. I just look at it like, “If I want to play a crazy Japanese shooter, why not pick one with personality like Bayonetta?” But if you are interested in the upcoming shooter you can download the demo now.

Reactions: PlatinumGames reveals Vanquish


Well, going off the trailer, which reveals next to nothing about the game, I can’t say I’m too excited about this yet. Another space-marine shooter? Really? But, Vanquish is being directed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and produced by Okami creator Atsushi Inaba, so maybe there’s hope yet. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
