Trailers: Binary Domain may have the worst voice acting ever
Perhaps it should have made like a computer and stuck with bleeps and bloops. I mean, this is some seriously atrocious voice work here. But we’ll put that aside for a moment to consider the consequences of the game’s consequence system.

With the debacle that Duke Nukem Forever turned out to be, I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that the developers at Gearbox have their heads up in the clouds. But thankfully, they’re fully grounded and listening to your pathetic cries for a good Aliens game. Obviously, it’s pretty impossible to judge a game based on one trailer, but this look at Aliens: Colonial Marines does have aliens in it. That’s half the battle in making a good game, right?

I have to say that I’m surprised to have never heard about this game before. Coming from the team behind the acclaimed Yazuka series, this Sci-Fi Shooter seems to have the potential for an interesting and original story (as far as video games go). The gameplay certainly looks intense, and I’m apt to get excited about anything reminiscent of Snatchers or Blade Runner. I’ll definitely be watching this title over the coming months.

Or should I say “rains”? Get it? Because she’s raining foxy vengeance down on dudes who we can only assume deserve a giant ice-sickle through the abdomen. And as fun as that sounds in theory, I have to say that I’m less than impressed with this gameplay video. Hopefully the online aspect of Platinum Games’ online Brawler infuses this thing with a little more pizazz.

And we can only hope that the “online action combat game with support for large numbers of players” takes its title from the protagonist, because the best characters are ones that can be summarized by their name.

I’m still so torn on this game. The action looks like it could be sick, but it also looks like it could be repetitive. And as far as the story and visual style go? Very disappointing for something coming out of Japan.

A lot of people seem to be getting excited for PlatinumGames’ Japanese take on Gears of War, Vanquish. There does seem to be a lot of action on screen, and the slow-mo stuff looks cool, but I’m still having trouble caring about this title. I just look at it like, “If I want to play a crazy Japanese shooter, why not pick one with personality like Bayonetta?” But if you are interested in the upcoming shooter you can download the demo now.
