splinter cell: conviction
Trailers: Splinter Cell co-op walk-through
Looks like they’re really crafting a nice little co-op campaign here. And I love the idea of a co-op experience providing the back-story to the main single-player experience. The only issue I’ve noticed with the game so far is some typically stupid video game AI. What kind of security guards stand in silence, staring directly at each other from three feet away without the slightest interest in small-talk? Don’t they have routes to be patrolling?

I like the recent trend of separate co-op campaigns. Hopefully this turns out as good as Modern Warfare 2‘s Spec-Ops.

That’s the deal! Sounds pretty cool, if I may say so myself.

All my doubts about this game seem to disappear when Sam smashes a dude’s face into the wall and calmly asks him what he wants to know.
Author: CodyReactions: Exciting games get delayed, boring games get release dates

The bullet holes represent how many months you'll probably have to wait.
For whatever reason, this is shaping up to be one of the least crowded holiday seasons ever, while Q1 2010 could blow the world up with its awesomeness. Joining the likes of BioShock 2, Red Dead Redemption, and many other high-profile titles, Splinter Cell: Conviction will be lurking in the shadows for a bit longer than we thought. GameSpot is reporting that Ubisoft has pushed Sam Fisher’s highly anticipated return back from its expected November release date and into the first quarter of 2010. And in consideration of Sam’s loneliness, they’ve delayed Red Steel 2 into Q1 2010 as well. If that weren’t enough, the newest installment in the Ghost Recon series and the new intellectual property I Am Alive were also pushed back from their Q1 2010 dates to sometime during Ubisoft’s 2010 fiscal year (April 1st, 2010-March 31st, 2011). Bummer.

Get ready to spend 12 hours with this grizzled face.
In a recent interview with Official Xbox Magazine, Maxime Beland, creative director of the next Splinter Cell said, “I want people to play my games and finish them.” Looks like great minds think alike Maxime, because I want to play your games and finish them too.

The Ubisoft press conference did not contain much for the hardcore gamer, but there were still a couple of trailers to satiate your bloodlust.
