Trailers: Deus Ex Missing Link preview

The fools! They should have destroyed his shades while they had the chance. Everybody knows they’re the source of Jensen’s power.

Reactions: Deus Ex “Missing Link” DLC due in October

Square Enix says that it’s about a missing three day chunk in the main game, but I like to think that’s just code for “Adam Jensen goes to a Halloween party populated by prominent evolutionists and creationists and must use his comical ‘missing link’ costume to break the ice and ensure a good time is had by all.” The DLC’s ability to “rebuild Adam’s augmentation set” (aka: redistribute augmentation points) supports my costume theory. It’s unclear whether the missing link rocks the shades or not.

Trailers: Deus Ex stealth diary

Hmm, thanks for that very informative video detailing the pillars of stealth! I never would have guessed it’d involve staying out of sight, being quiet, and using invisibility cloaks. It’s so simple that Mr. Jensen probably stealths his way around the mall and swipes Ray Bans and hair gel during his spare time.

Reactions: Release dates for Splinter Cell HD, FFXIII-2, and The Darkness II

We've got a few more months to forge an artificial sun now...

My 14-year-old self tells me that the original Splinter Cell and its two Xbox sequels, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory are good games. If you’re a PS3 owner who never had the good fortune of experiencing them, you’ll be able to drop 40 bones on Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy HD come September 27th and get your green-goggled sneak on like never before. Mr. Fisher seems to have snuck past a 360 release, though.

Trailers: Deus Ex: Human Revolution is seedy as all-get-out

This much has been confirmed by Joystiq. What has yet to be confirmed is whether or not I’m ever going to get the Deus Ex set to Daft Punk trailer that I’ve been waiting for. Come on: the future, cyborgs…the future. Where are my techno beats?

Trailers: 12 minutes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution

So I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out just what’s putting off about Human Revolution, a game that I should be fawning over in theory. I know that story-focused games don’t demo well and that progression elements don’t always make their presence known in promotional material, but there’s something more to this feeling. And I think I’ve got it.
