Trailers: Get caught up with Infamous 2′s opening cinematic
But you know what will piss your parents off more, Cole MacGrath? Pumping a few hundred thousand extra volts through their electricity meter and reminding your dad how expensive it can be to leave the lights on when you leave a room.

And I’m not referring to the swamp monsters that dwell within. Based on what was said in the interview, I can only infer that Sucker Punch will be resorting to lame water barriers and the like to “balance” Cole. I mean, if they had some awesome system where enemies utilized water as a weapon, why wouldn’t they show it and talk about it?

If you’ve followed my coverage of Sucker Punch’s super-hero sequel, you might have noticed that I’m not exactly ga-ga over the game. But for once, I’m actually less than repulsed by one of the title’s trailers. This particular video details the game’s custom mission creator, a feature that puts the powers of creation in the players’ hands. User-generated content has become more and more common over the past few years, but as far as I know, this is the first open-world game to hand the keys over to the masses. Frankly, I can’t think of a better genre to implement the feature in. So while I may just be excited at the prospect of seeing this in GTA someday, I must give some rightful props to Sucker Punch; great idea, guys!

Some people (like Sony’s marketing team) are simply calling this video “Evil Decision Gameplay,” but for me, evil decisions in Sucker Punch’s super-hero sequel will forever be associated with that ragin’ Cajun excuse for a morality meter. If you’re not up to date on how good and bad choices will work in Infamous 2, all you need to know is that good and bad female caricatures characters now show up in an attempt to woo you one way or the other.
Trailers: Infamous 2′s narrative sounds…
How do I say this? Not good? Bad? Tasteless and shallow? And I’m not a huge fan of the animated cut-scenes either. Can somebody explain to me why people like this franchise when there are better parkour games out there?
Author: CodyReactions: Existence of Sly Cooper 4 confirmed
Apparently, if you unlock all three Platinum Trophies for the recently released Sly Cooper Collection, this teaser trailer for Sly Cooper 4 unlocks. Considering the previous Sly games were developed by Sucker Punch (of inFAMOUS fame), it’ll be interesting to see who’s working on the first new entry for the PS3. Will Sucker Punch take time off of their current franchise after Infamous 2, or will a new developer take the reigns. Sanzaru games was behind the Sly Cooper Collection, which HDified the old games and made them suitable for the PS3. Could they be behind this? I guess we’ll never know. Well, we will know eventually, just not at the moment…

I just don’t understand the connection between lightning powers and being able to lift cars at all. But putting that aside, I haven’t seen a single preview for this game that’s gotten me the least bit excited. The drab visuals only seem to highlight what appears to be some rather uninspired gameplay. “So we’re going to make a third-person shooter, but instead of shooting guns, we’ll shoot lightning!” Yeah, brilliant. Having never played the first Infamous I can’t really say what made that game click for so many people, but from everything I saw of it, flow and uninterrupted motion seemed to be a major draw. Gliding off a sky-scraper and directly into a electronic grind on a a power line just seems like a lot of fun. Infamous 2 seems to be focusing a lot more on combat from what I can gather. Not really my cup of tea.

Excellent choice of music for the trailer, but I can’t help but notice how dark and bland this game looks. It’s about superheroes, bro–add some color!

Is it just me, or do both the graphics and level design of this title look incredibly dated? “Ooh, linear chase through the streets where I have to avoid missiles until I catch up!” That trailer really didn’t do anything for me. And although I never played the first, what I’ve been hearing is that the protagonist’s make-over and new voice actor aren’t making a lot of friends. In all fairness, the game is still in a very early build, but at this point in time, it simply looks boring to me. And I get the feeling that lightning alone isn’t going to offer enough fun super powers to support a running franchise.

Hopefully they decide between caps and lower case for the sequel, because the first game’s hybrid title had to be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. But while we’re waiting to find out the verdict on that, why don’t you read on and check out what Game Informer has to say about the sequel to of of 2009′s biggest PS3 titles.
