Trailers: Ninja Gaiden 3 Multiplayer Trailer Introduces Some Interesting Concepts
“Falcon Dive to kill as a bird of prey,” “press circle to die with honor.” Pay attention all developers of gore-tastic multiplayer ninja games; these are the things that will make your game awesome. This trailer for Ninja Gaiden 3‘s multiplayer component looks absurdly awesome for sure, but does anybody really know what’s going on? I think I saw some invisible ninjas thrown in amongst all the blood as well. Yeah, that’s right, invisible, flame-throwing, falcon diving, ninjas. Let that sentence soak in for a second, and then get real excited about this game.

There seems to be some business about Ryu becoming a demon or something of the like. Sword-arms are all the rage these days. The greater question is whether or not our hero will develop some plump demon breasts with which to show off Team Ninja’s inevitable advancements to their industry leading jiggle technologies. Perhaps breasts will even become an integral part of this riveting, mature story. Or maybe Team Ninja’s just saving all the jigglies for the game’s new competitive multiplayer mode…

If GameSpot’s interactive E3 showfloor map is to be believed, then RPG lovers could be in for a treat next week at E3. When browsing through the various company booths, Electronic Arts’ prominently features both Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age II. Whether this is a legitimate slip or pure speculation on GameSpot’s part is unclear at this point, but there is some evidence to back up the surprise reveals.

I didn't think pictures of Dude Huge without a Lancer in hand existed...
That caption was going to be a witty D&D reference given what I’m about to tell you, but really, Clifford Bleszinski looking professional for once is the real news here. But anyways, earlier this week the Epic Design Director told British magazine Develop that, “I had a conversation with Harvey Smith–one of the lead designers on [the action RPG] Deus Ex–and said to him the future of shooters is RPGs. He said he completely agreed.” Bleszinski then went on to praise hybrid shooter BioShock and offered a few words of excitement for Gearbox’s upcoming Borderlands. “Randy Pitchford at Gearbox is an absolutely brilliant designer and business man, and I think Borderlands is not getting as much hype as it should because it really looks like a more accessible, shootery version of Fallout.” If future Gears of War titles move in a direction closer to Deus Ex and BioShock and Borderlands, I’m completely fine with that. I have a soft spot for shooter-RPGs and wish there were more. Speaking of which, it’d be nice to hear something about Deus Ex 3.
