The shooting in MAG definitely looks more solid than I initially thought it would, and I love the command structure, but the visual fidelity of Modern Warfare 2 blows this out of the water. I know they’re two different games and graphics don’t really matter all that much when you’re shooting too fast to see anything, but it really is a dire difference. Maybe the next Call of Duty will adopt the command structure….hey, I can hope.

Firstly, I’d like to say that I’ve always been in love with the idea of this game. Structured 256 player battles with chains of command sounds like the pinnacle of competitive shooters. But I’ve always held reservations about the game being too generic or having sloppy shooting. Based on the video in this interview though, the gameplay looks as tight as the rest of the AAA shooters out there and while still sporting the typical military simulation skin of so many other games, the visuals do look a tad more lively than I had expected. With Sony’s PS3 exclusive set to go into Beta in the coming weeks, things are looking good for MAG.
